George Nudo Camp Director
George is attending Illinois State University for Secondary Education. He is returning to RSR for his 7th year having served in Handicraft, Aquatics, Range and Target Sports and Kitchen. George is looking forward to creating opportunities for scouts to learn new skills and building a strong community at RSR. Outside of scouting, George enjoys recreational sports, photography, and the latest board games.
Nick Overstreet Program Director
Nick is currently attending school at Waubonsee Community College for Business Administration. Nick has served the past 3 years at RSR as a COPE/Climbing Instructor. Nick has earned the rank of Eagle, the Summit Rank, and has been awarded the Vigil Honor. Nick enjoys traveling to various national parks, playing football and board games and losing at fantasy football on the weekends. Nick is looking foward to all the fun memories that will be made at RSR 2026.
Esmeralda Bonk Camp Commissioner
Esmeralda has been a scout parent and volunteer in scouting for 10+ years both at Unit and Council levels in Rainbow. She has earned a variety of awards including the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver Award, Bronze Pelican Award, and the Arrowhead Honor. Esmeralda has staffed Wood Badge and NYLT and is the 2026 Course Director. She also enjoys crafting, sewing and time with family. Si hablo Espanol!

What is included in the Summer Camp experience?
Our summer camp program includes over 45 merit badges, interactive afternoon and evening programs, team-building exercises, and unique activities like COPE and Pathfinders. Each week is packed with opportunities for Scouts to learn, grow, and have fun in a rustic, natural setting.
What are the age requirements for campers?
The summer camp is open to all Scouts BSA members. Specific programs like Pathfinders are tailored for first-time campers, providing a supportive environment for younger Scouts to thrive.
What should my camper pack?
Download Packing ListCampers should pack essentials such as a sleeping bag, clothing for various weather conditions, sturdy shoes, toiletries, a flashlight, a refillable water bottle, and any required medications.
How can parents get involved?
Parents and guardians are encouraged to camp with your unit or volunteer to assist with a merit badge class. Your involvement helps ensure the smooth operation of camp activities and maintains our 2-deep leadership standard. Please complete the Safeguarding Youth Training available at My.Scouting.org.
